Coast Trip

We went to Newport for a little family time, a little work and a little rest. It was so much fun and I loved being with Nate and Peyton. We had such a good time. I had a wedding I did in Newport on Saturday and it was so amazing. I just love my job. It's really a hard stressful job, but more than anything I just love doing it. We spent time on the beach, did a little shopping, relaxing, and went to the Aquarium with some of Nate's family. They came down Saturday night and it was fun to be around them. Here are just a few pictures. All the ocean pictures are on Nate's computer. I will have to get around to putting them on mine.

New Baby in the Family

So we have had a new addition in our family. My sister Kelli had a little boy yesterday. They named him Andrew Jace. He was 8lbs. 3oz and was 20 inches long. He is just so sweet and I was glad I got to be here. I have a wedding this weekend at the coast. Enjoy the sweet pictures. They just melt my heart.

It's a BOY!!!

So I have been a total slacker on blogging. I never seem to have any time. But wanted to let you all know that we found out we are having a boy. I am so excited but then also a little worried....because we can't figure out a name.

Pacifier

So Peyton has had a paci since she was born. With all her tummy problems and crying all the time...it was really a nice thing to have. She is 2 1/2 now and she has had a paci at naps and night time only. I have been thinking that it's probably time to get rid of it. We have tried a couple of times but I am weak. So we told Peyton that is she stopped using a paci that she could get a new doll house. Yesterday was her first day without it. She did good at her nap and was so tired she feel asleep while Nate read her a book. Then at night it was a little harder. She cried for about 10-15 minutes. Then I just went in there and asked if I could sing her a song and snuggle with her. I told her she had to stop crying if she wanted me to do that. It worked. I had to stay with her for longer than I usually have to but she fell asleep without her pacifier. She slept really good and was so excited when she woke up.
We decided to make all of this a big deal. So after she got up from a nap we had the table set with cupcakes, candles, flowers and a princess balloon. She was so excited and we kept telling her how proud we are of her. We sang "Happy no paci day". It was pretty cute. Then we had told her that if she was all done with her paci and she could go to bed without it we would go get her a new doll house. So today we went to Toys R Us and got her a Fisher Price Loving Family doll house. She LOVES it. I have been wanting a reason to get this for her so I was glad that she finally is done with her pacifier. So we got home about noon, it's now 5:00 and she played with it all day except for going outside for about 20 minutes, then she was back to playing with it. It's hard because it was a beautiful day and I kept trying to get her to go outside. Well I took a couple pictures of what we did. It was a fun day and I love her with all my heart. She can't be any cuter. Now I just have to buy her more furniture for the house. It's HUGE.

Being Polite

So I am really big on Peyton being polite. It's hard some times with all the other kids and grown ups and tv shows. I just try to make sure I say please and thank you, use kind words, and show respect to other people. I try to get Peyton to be polite. She is 2 1/2 so it's hard to know if she really understands. She is pretty good about remembering to say please and thank you. Mind you she is 2 so it's not all the time...and mind you I don't think she is perfect. But this little story is just something that melts my heart and I want to remember forever.
We were walking into Papa's pizza on Coburg Road and there was a younger guy that was walking in front of us to the door. He was sweet and opened the door for our family. Peyton was the first to walk in and what to you know.....she looked up to the guy and it the cutest voice said "thank you" as she walked in. Right then and there I just stopped and was just in awe that my daughter did that all on her own. So was the guy that opened the door. I think he was in shock that such a little thing knew to say thank you for holding the door open for her.
So I am so proud of her and all that hard work is actually paying off. I'm glad that she pays attention when I say stuff to her. I think she isn't listening but she is. I just want my children to be polite and respectful. So that when they grow up they will surround themselves with people that are that way too.

My little dare devil

So Nate put together a little jump thing off her bed the other day and of course she wanted to do it again today. So Mom had to set up all the cushions and blankets. I told her I would do it only if I could take some pictures. The light isn't very good in her room and it was early morning so we got the harsh light but I still think they are fun pictures. Enjoy. If you click on the images they are bigger.

I for some reason just love these next 2 pictures. I took them with a lensbaby so they are a little different. Plus I processed them different too. I love her.

Oh thanks for the congratulations. We are so excited. My due date is October 12th so it's still early but for some reason this pregnancy I have such a relaxed feeling about it. It took us 2 years to get pregnant with Peyton and this one was about 1.5, so we are happy. I have always wanted boys and would really love one now. But the only problem is that Peyton really wants a sister...and to be honest, so do I. I was going through all my baby stuff to give things back to my sister. Kelli is due end of May. All those beautiful girl clothes how can I not have another girl. Plus what I am going to do with all those girl clothes...anyone have boy clothes...I have none. The problem with a boy is that we don't have a name we both like. Girls names are EASY. My favorite right now is Hadley or Brianne (my sisters middle name) I love the idea of Bri for a nickname. Boys names...we like Keen or Cabe. But the middle name has to be William so its hard to find boys names we like. I REALLY like Dawson but it's not one Nate really likes so it's out. Naming your kid is SO hard. Oh....by the way, you have no idea how excited I am to have a newborn so I can take pictures. Oh...you guys might get sick of them.

I love Oregon

This past weekend we had so much fun. We went to the Coast on Saturday with the Merwin's (Nate's sisters family). I love being with them. They have 3 kids and Peyton just adores all of them. It's cute to watch them. It was a fun relaxing day and I would love to do that every day. It was a little cold but it wasn't raining so we lucked out. I love that we can go with Nate's sisters and their families to do outdoor things...all of our kids love that kind of stuff so it makes it so much fun.

Then we went for a hike on Sunday with just us and our dogs. I took pictures at the coast but I didn't want to bring my camera along for the hike. I wish I would have brought a video camera to the hike because Peyton was so darn cute. She was such a big girl. We were climbing up a hill and she did it all by herself. She tripped a couple times and just said "oppsies" and got back up. She was SO proud of herself when we got to the top. She said "I'm doing it". Then when we went down the hill it was "down the hill, down the hill" over and over and over again. Seriously I think she said it the whole way down. We had her all bundled up and she was splashing around in mud puddles and getting muddy and she loved it. I don't think she has ever really just played in mud puddles like that. It was so much fun.

I put more pictures up on my flickr account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/punkypie/

Nate took this picture of the ocean...I think it's so beautiful

I just love this picture....she is so darn grown up and so stinking cute

single ladies...

So Peyton can totally sing Beyonce "Single Ladies". She wants to listen to it over and over and did I mention over again in the car. She cries and gets all upset when I don't want to listen to it or I turn the radio on instead of the CD she wants to listen to. The reason she really started liking the song if from watching the Justin Timberlake SNL skit. That part makes me laugh so hard. I love that.

Do any of your children sing songs like this? For some reason it just melts my heart.

Football girl.....

So my daughter is so amazing to me. I love football. I love watching it on tv and going to a game. I have to say that I was a little worried when I found out I was having a little girl when I was pregnant with Peyton. I didn't want to have a little girl that loved pink and into barbies. Nor am I excited to have a teenage girl...especially since Peyton is so beautiful. =) So yesterday morning Peyton woke up at 5 and came into bed with us. She thought it was time to be awake but I told her to go back to sleep either in our bed or hers. She picked ours...then asked to watch a show. I told her no. Then about an hour went by and she was still tossing and turning. Then the sweet little girl said...."Mommy, can I watch some football" That just made me so happy. I told her that we can't watch football but that I loved her.

I love that Peyton loves football and loves to watch it with us. I decided that the season tickets we get to the Beaver football games is so worth it. I know that because I love watching football it makes football season around our house so much nicer for my husband. In our household I know that Nate loves the fact that I watch football. Not only do I watch football, but I play on a fantasy football team, I buy our season tickets, and I actually know facts and things about football. I have to say I am sad that this football season is over.

Princess Time

My sweet little niece Faith is over today and Peyton and her are playing so sweet together. Auntie Sarah brought them hot chocolate and they dressed up in princess clothes and drinking their drinks. Now they are playing with all the babies. They both just melt my heart. I had to take some pictures of them. I hope you all have a good day.

A girl after my own heart

Holiday Recap

The holidays went by in a big whirl wind. With being in California I feel like I missed the holiday time. I missed my daughter more than anything. Here are a few pictures of the snow, and Christmas. We had a good Christmas. Busy, we have 2 families to visit. Peyton was loving all the gifts and has been having a fun time playing with all her new toys.
