So tired

So it's 11:15 on the night before Thanksgiving and I am so tired. We let Peyton stay up way to late at Noni and Opa's house. All the other family members are staying the night out there but we decided to come home (dogs=responsibility). So I'm pretty tired but so excited for Thanksgiving...I will post some pictures late. I just wanted to wish every one a some what early....Happy Thanksgiving.

Reason for the Season

So I was sitting at lunch with Peyton today. She was eating peanut butter and jelly with a side of pickles. She asks me for pickles every meal. The funny part is Nate HATES pickles...the smell, the texture, the taste. It makes me laugh when she asks daddy for pickles. =) So on to my real story. I was talking to Peyton about Christmas and explaining to her that is was the birth of Jesus. I love kids brains. She thought for a second...then said in her silly voice, "we eat cake" So I think from this Christmas forward. We are going to have birthday cake on Christmas and sing Happy Birthday to him. Does anyone else have these kind of traditions? I just love that my daughter just help me make a new family tradition.

Decorating For Christmas

So does anyone else have the urge to decorate for Christmas yet? I get such a joy and love from turning my house into a beautiful holiday site. I don't do a ton but I just love the smells and the lights. For some reason I can just sit in a room and take it in and smile. So I want to know why if something so little as decorating makes me so happy why I can't do it yet. Just because thanksgiving isn't here yet...I just want to enjoy all the hard work of putting it up. What do you guys think?

Kung Fu Panda

Last night we rented Kung Fu Panda and had a little fun family night. We put a blanket down, had snacks, and watch the movie. Peyton thought it was so fun and was so excited about popcorn. She laughed at couple parts but mostly she was talking. Surprise, surprise. Nice thing was she stayed up just a little bit past her bed time and she went right to sleep. Oh I love sleeping children. I liked the movie...has anyone else seen it?

Holidays

So I asked Peyton the other day what she wanted for Christmas. She said "hmmmmm....a sucker" I said you don't want a doll house, or dress up clothes. "no i want suckers" I ask her if she wanted anything else "hmmmm....pretzels" Oh this kid is simple. I already have those things in my house...I can check Peyton off my list. Does anyone else have shopping started? Honestely I only have 1 gift bought for my niece Emma. That's it. I think it's only something like 33 days until Christmas. Good luck to you all. Poor Thanksgiving...always gets push aside until it's time to eat.

Tea Party and Dora

Peyton and I had a tea party and played Candyland Dora. It was a fun morning.

Beaver Game

So peyton loves to go to the Oregon State football games. She is so cute there. I really should bring the video camera but I take pictures...that's what I do. So here is a little collection of some pictures of gameday with Petyon.

Dinner and Bath

We had spaghetti the other night. One of peyton's favorite. So nate got the camera out at dinner because she was being funny. I took it in the bathroom with us. She has so many ducks in the bath tub that she lines them up and plays games with them. I think her and Nate pretend to take pictures of them and make duck sounds. No clue but it makes her laugh so hard. He's a good Dad.

So I decided to start a family blog. I enjoy doing one for my business so I thought I would start one for our family. I always have pictures to post so why not. Who knows...this might be interesting.
